Hot take: my buddy’s 10 minute rant about folding fitted sheets actually changed how I do laundry forever
He told me to just stuff it into the pillowcase with the rest of the set and call it done, and after 32 years of fighting that thing I finally get why some people just don't care about perfection, has anyone else had a dumb small habit get busted by a friend saying exactly what you needed to hear?

Huh. So the big laundry secret is just... not folding it? I guess I get it if you're the type who just grabs whatever from the drawer anyway. But some of us actually like our t-shirts to not look like a wadded-up napkin. I tried the pillowcase trick once and ended up with a crumpled mess that I had to iron before wearing. So now I'm back to folding fitted sheets like a weirdo who cares about creases. Glad it worked for you though, I guess.

Wait, isn't the pillowcase trick for folding, not for skipping folds entirely?

Man, I gotta hard disagree on this one. I mean, maybe it's just me but folding everything is such a waste of time. I used to be all about that crisp, folded life too but then I realized my t-shirts look exactly the same whether I fold them or just stack them in a drawer. The only thing that changes is the 20 extra minutes I spend folding. And honestly, who's seeing your t-shirt creases anyway? Unless you're walking around with your shirt tucked out and being inspected by a drill sergeant, nobody cares. Ironing? For a t-shirt? That's some serious overkill, man. I get it if you're wearing dress shirts or something but for everyday stuff, just grab and go is the way to go.
