Unpopular opinion: meal prep containers don't actually save you that much time

I spent a whole Sunday batch cooking breakfast burritos and realized I was spending just as long reheating and washing containers as I used to making eggs fresh. After 3 weeks of this routine I gave up and went back to cooking per meal. Has anyone else found the prep time vs cleanup math doesn't actually work out?

Haven't you ever considered that the real time savings come from not having to think about what to eat every single day? I meal prep on Sundays and it takes about 2 hours for the whole week, plus my dishes are done in one load instead of a pile every night. The microwave cleanup is just one bowl versus a whole pan and spatula.

One bowl vs a whole pan and a spatula" - living that fancy life, huh.
