I finally had a perfect week at work after 6 months of chaos
Last week was the first time since January that nothing went wrong. No emergency calls at 2am, no broken equipment, no angry clients. The machine on line 4 ran without a single jam for 5 straight days. My supervisor even said "good job" which he never does. It felt so weird I almost expected something bad to happen Friday afternoon but it never did. Has anyone else had a week that was just too smooth and it made you paranoid?
Totally get that paranoid feeling. Had a run like that myself a few months back where nothing broke and no one yelled at me for a whole week. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop so hard I barely enjoyed the peace. When Friday came and went without drama, I almost felt cheated out of a disaster. It's like your brain gets conditioned to expect chaos and forgets what calm even looks like. Nice when it happens, but man does it mess with your head.
