Finally not the worst driver in the parking lot after 6 months of practice
I used to hit the curb every single time I tried to parallel park. Like not even close, I'd be up on the sidewalk. My wife would just get out and walk home instead of watching me struggle. But I started practicing at the abandoned mall lot on Route 22 after work every Thursday. Did it for like 4 months straight. Yesterday I parked downtown between a BMW and a truck and got it perfect on the first try. No honking, no getting out to check. Felt like I leveled up or something. Anyone else have a skill they just had to grind at forever before it clicked?

Oh man, this hit home for me lol. I spent like a whole summer learning to knit and I kept dropping stitches every row, it was such a mess. My grandma tried to teach me three times and I just couldn't get it to click. Then one night I decided to just power through a scarf even though it looked terrible with all these random holes in it. By the time I finished that ugly lumpy thing my hands just knew what to do. Now I can knit a sweater in a week and I teach classes at the library. That grind is real.

My first scarf had so many holes it looked like fishnet.
