Cleaned a used laptop keyboard with distilled vinegar and it worked better than I expected

I picked up an old ThinkPad from a thrift store in Austin for 40 bucks. The keys were sticky and had some gunk in the cracks. I Googled around and tried dabbing a little distilled vinegar on a microfiber cloth instead of using rubbing alcohol like everyone says. It took off that grime in one pass and the keys feel smooth now. Has anyone else found a random household cleaner that actually works for fixing up secondhand gadgets?

Distilled vinegar is seriously underrated for cleaning electronics. I've used it on old phone cases and it cuts through grime like Nothing else. Glad it worked out for your ThinkPad!

Did anyone else notice how vinegar smells almost exactly like pickles? It's like you're cleaning your stuff and craving a sandwich at the same time.
