Paid $400 for a laser removal session on my ex's name and the thing barely faded, then got a $60 cover up that actually worked.

The laser tech swore 3 sessions would zap it but after one I just had a red splotch and lighter letters, so I bailed and let some random artist blast a dark floral piece over it in an hour flat, has anyone else found laser to be a total money pit compared to just hiding the thing with ink?

One session for $400 and it barely did anything, that's highway robbery right there. I'd be pissed too.

Oh for REAL, $400 for barely any change is just insulting. @valc91 totally nailed it, that's robbery. Did the cover up artist at least give you a decent deal or was that $60 a solid bargain compared to the laser?
