Hot take: tried turning off all my smart home devices for a week
I unplugged my Alexa and smart bulbs last Monday in Dallas just to see what happened, and honestly not having voice control made me realize how much I rely on the cloud for basic stuff like turning on lights. Anybody else feel like we're one bad server crash away from living in the dark ages?
Did you have any weird moments where muscle memory just kicked in and you stood there talking to the air? I had a similar thing happen last year when my internet went down for two days during a storm, caught myself saying "Hey Google turn off the kitchen light" and nothing happened. Felt like my brain short circuited for a second.
