Caught my ex checking out my friend's Instagram story during dinner at Olive Garden in Tulsa

We were sitting there at the table, he had his phone face up, and I saw him tap through like six stories until he stopped on hers and watched it twice. I asked him why he was looking at her so much and he said he was just bored waiting for the breadsticks. Do you think I was overreacting or was that a red flag I should have seen sooner?

4 years ago I caught my ex doing the exact same thing at a Chili's in Dallas. Watching a specific friend's stories twice while we were sitting together is not a boredom move, it's a curiosity move. You were not overreacting at all. That kind of behavior usually means there's still some kind of interest or unfinished business there. Did he ever act weird around that friend before or after that dinner?

Curiosity move" sums it up. It's always the small habits that show the real story.

Man that's rough. Hearing that story from years ago still stings, I bet. Really makes you wonder what goes through someone's head when they do stuff like that right in front of you.
