inMy digital portrait got slammed for being 'over-edited' - where do you draw the line?
Yeah and sometimes I wonder if we add all that glow because we're nervous about the plain drawing underneath. Like putting on fancy lights to hide a wobbly table leg. Not saying that's what's happening here, but I've caught myself doing it. The real test is flipping between the raw sketch and the finished piece to see if the magic's in the foundation or just the fairy dust on top.

inTried a new way to pack my work gear and it's so much easier now
Clear pouches are a game changer. I keep all my cables and chargers in one, my adapters in another. Makes packing feel less messy because you just grab the bags instead of hunting for loose items. Unpacking is faster too since everything has its own spot.

inMy repair backlog grew thanks to slow part deliveries.
In my experience, keeping a stock of common failure parts like GPU voltage regulators and BIOS chips saves a lot of downtime. I order them in small batches from reputable suppliers when prices are low. Your mileage may vary, but this approach cut my wait times for common laptop repairs by half. It's not a perfect fix, but it helps manage the backlog.

inBread scoring has turned into a competitive sport online.
Messy scoring here too (tastes great though).

inI thought detailed cuts were a waste of time until a client's reaction proved me wrong.
Tiled a backsplash last month that had crazy detailed patterns. Almost said no because it would take triple the time of a simple subway job. Client insisted, so I did it right. Their reaction when they saw it was like that layered bob moment you described. @jennifer_dixon I get the chain salon mindset, really do. But sometimes the slow, detailed work is what builds your name for the better jobs.
