Oh totally, it's the weight of them that does it for me. My grandpa's old hammer feels the same way, like it's already done the work before I even start. I tried one of those new lightweight ones and I nearly put it through my own thumb, which says more about me than the tool. There's something about worn handles that new stuff just can't fake.

Truth right here. Learned this the hard way myself. Rushed a shoulder for a party once and it was like eating a shoe. Now I just plan for the whole day, start early, and let it do its thing. The wait drives you nuts but that feeling when the bone pulls clean makes it worth it. There's just no shortcut.
