inI finally fixed the blinking red light on my NES
My cousin's original Xbox from 2001 still boots up fine without ever opening it. I understand cleaning can help, but is it really needed for most people? These consoles were made to last, and a lot of the time they just work. I see people spend hours fixing things that were not broken to begin with. Why not just enjoy the games instead of worrying about every speck of dust? Do you think we focus too much on maintenance these days?

inRight shoulder locking up after heavy diesel component installs
That point about it not being worth wrecking your shoulder for good... I totally get that. I've known too many people who did all the right stretches but still ended up in pain because the work is just too much. Sometimes we push through thinking it'll get better, but it just makes things worse over time. Cutting back on heavy jobs might feel like giving up, but it's smarter than living with constant pain. Your body has limits, and ignoring them only leads to bigger problems down the road. It's tough to admit when we need to slow down, but you're right that it's better than permanent damage.

inRant: My aunt called a succulent a cactus and I couldn't help but correct her.
Ugh, I did that with a cactus once.

inOur community bulletin went AI-only and the updates are confusing
Actually see this kind of thing everywhere now. The self-checkout at the grocery store constantly yells about unexpected items in the bagging area for no reason. Customer service chatbots give you answers that have nothing to do with your question. It feels like we are all beta testing this stuff in real time. My streaming service keeps recommending shows I have already watched, which is just lazy.

inCan't believe how much flak I get for skipping concrete under my shed
Built my workshop on a compacted stone base five years back and it hasn't moved an inch. @joelmoore is right about the drainage being better, never had a pooling issue. Why spend on concrete if you don't need to?
