inPro tip: An old man in Boise told me his chimney hadn't been swept since '87, and the look on his face when I showed him the clean flue was payment enough.
That's the best part of the job right there. Seeing that kind of genuine shock and relief. Makes you realize how much we take simple, safe things for granted. Good on you for putting in the extra work for him.

inI used to think the 'subs vs dubs' debate was just people being snobs...
Guess my ears were just being snobs too.

inPro tip: I tried working from a beach in Bali for a month, then a quiet town in Portugal. Portugal won.
Hard disagree on the "instagram nomad spot is a trap" thing. You just did Bali wrong. The whole point is to embrace the chaos and find a rhythm in it. I got a local SIM with great data, worked from co-working spaces built for that, and the energy kept me from burning out. If you want a silent apartment, why even leave home? The buzz is the feature, not the bug.

inMy coworker thinks Batman never kills, and I'm torn on whether to correct him.
Yeah, park.miles has a point about comic facts not being set in stone. I mean, I was in a similar spot where a friend insisted Batman never kills. Instead of just saying he's wrong, I brought up that time in Batman v Superman where he clearly uses guns on cars. Idk, it led to a fun talk about how different writers handle his rules. Maybe it's just me, but focusing on the cool stories works better than arguing. Keeping it light helped us both learn something without getting annoyed.
