Vent: Those self-watering pots messed up my snake plant

Bought into the hype for low-maintenance plants. Everyone recommends them for beginners. Mine sat in wet soil for weeks. Roots started to rot. Now I just use a regular pot and check it myself. Much simpler.

Used to say filing by hand was the only real way, but a messed up order from a new steel batch got me to try a grinder. Now I'm all for it.
