Wasted $600 on a sketchy AI governance certification course that was just a 2-hour video with no real content
I signed up for a supposed expert-level AI ethics certification from a company called EthosAI (or something like that) last month and all I got was a boring slideshow that didn't even mention bias testing or real regulations, so has anyone else fallen for one of these cash grabs?

Man, I gotta disagree with you there. Sure some of these courses are overhyped, but I actually got some solid basics from a similar one that helped me understand the key regulations out there now.

My first week on the job I got handed a compliance checklist that looked like it was written in another language. That $40 course broke down the difference between GDPR and CCPA in a way that actually made sense, using real examples like how a grocery store handles customer loyalty cards. Saved me from making a stupid mistake about data retention periods that would have cost my company way more than the course price. Sometimes the entry level stuff is all you need to avoid the big traps.

Spend $40 on a course and think you're an expert now?
