I finally stopped ignoring the feedback on my AI chatbot's tone

A user on my beta test last month told me my customer service bot sounded like a 'soulless corporate robot reading a script.' It stung but they were right. I spent 3 days rewriting the responses to use contractions and casual language instead of formal phrasing. The bounce rate dropped from 40% to 22% in the first week. Anyone else get humbled by user feedback on your AI's personality?

Shows how much people crave real human connection even with machines.

Gotta be careful not to get too attached though. Set some boundaries early or you'll find yourself chatting way longer than you planned.

Is it weird that I feel bad for the people who end up chatting with these AI things for hours? I can totally see how it happens though, you know? You start off asking a simple question and then you're suddenly having this deep conversation about the meaning of life (or whatever). I think it says something about how lonely our world has gotten honestly.
