My coworker swore by that new AI writing tool and it backfired hard

At my office in Austin, Jake kept pushing this AI text generator for our weekly reports. Said it would save me 2 hours every Friday. Gave it a shot last month and the thing invented a client meeting that never happened. Had to walk back my own report in front of the boss. Anyone else get burned by trusting AI for work stuff too much?

Did you actually read through the whole AI-generated report before you turned it in, or did you just trust the thing to be right without checking first? Because that fake client meeting sounds like something that would stand out if you had skimmed it even a little. I'm just trying to figure out if the tool is garbage or if maybe the rush to save time made you skip the final edit.

Three times now I've caught ChatGPT making up a fake case citation in legal briefs so I always skim even the made up stuff @sanchez.mary.

@jamesf29 I mean, I skimmed it but yeah, that part slipped by me.
