inI swore by expensive sleeping pads until a $40 foam pad changed my nights
Yeah honestly I used to be a total foam pad evangelist (basically thought inflatables were a gimmick for rich hikers). But reading this makes me reconsider, especially the part about them not needing re-pumping. Might have to actually try a good one next season.

inSwapped my wheat paste for PVA glue on last week's project and didn't hate it
Cheating" is what I called it too, turns out I was just making things harder for myself. I'm with you on the speed thing, @karencampbell, waiting a whole day for wheat paste to dry always made me feel like I forgot to plan ahead.

inQuestion about a total grid square fail at the Cahokia dig site
Did it mess up the unit pretty bad or did you catch it before any damage was done?

inAppreciation post: The person who puts the art title and medium in focus order drives me nuts
Oh man, I feel this so hard! It's like artists are hiding all the good technical details on purpose sometimes. Last month I was trying to figure out how someone got that perfect textured brush look in a digital painting, but the title just said "Moody Streetscape" and the description was literally "thanks for looking." I had to dig through three separate threads to find out it was a custom Kyle T. Webster brush pack in Photoshop. It makes learning from each other way harder than it needs to be. Just a quick "made with [tool] using [technique]" would save everyone so much scrolling!

inMy credit score jumped 62 points in 4 months. Here's what I did differently.
You bet, @the_brian. I did the same thing a few months ago and my score jumped 12 points the very next cycle. It almost felt too easy, but it really works. Now I just make sure a chunk of my balance is paid right before the statement cuts.
