Vent: Wasted $400 on a wireless alarm panel that was pure junk
I bought that new Touchcom panel at the trade show 6 months ago. Connected to my home system for testing and it dropped signal 3 times in the first week. Customer support was useless, just kept saying to update firmware. Has anyone else had trouble with these newer wireless panels? I'm sticking with wired systems from now on.

Yeah the firmware updates never actually fix anything.

Ha! I swear my router has gotten dumber with every "improvement." I'm convinced it's just rearranging the bugs at this point. I update the thing and suddenly my toaster connects to WiFi before my phone does. At this rate I'm just gonna start living in the stone age with a wired connection and a long phone cord. Maybe then things will actually work.
