The way people seal their own driveways around here drives me nuts
I grew up in Lethbridge watching my dad do it with a brush and tar, now I see neighbors spraying that water-based stuff from a jug and it peels up after one winter. Has anybody else noticed the old-school coal tar sealers last way longer than the new eco-friendly options?
You mentioned "the old-school coal tar sealers last way longer." I used to be all about the eco-friendly stuff honestly. Thought the water based was fine and didn't get the fuss. But after seeing my neighbors driveways peel up like sunburn after one winter I started paying attention. My own driveway I did with coal tar three years ago still looks solid. That green stuff just can't handle the freeze thaw cycles we get here. Changed my whole view on it.
