That levitating rock video from Arizona... I thought it was fake until I dug into the metadata
I saw that clip going around of a rock hovering a few feet off the ground in some desert near Sedona. Looked like basic string or CGI work. But someone in a discord pulled the raw file info and the timestamps matched a flight log from a USGS survey drone that was in that exact spot at that exact minute. No way a hoaxer planned that. Still not sure what it means but I'm way less skeptical now. Has anyone else checked the metadata on these desert clips?

Yeah I read something about this on a geology forum a few days back. Some guy was breaking down similar clips from Arizona and New Mexico and found the same drone metadata every time. He said the timestamps lined up with USGS aerial surveys for mapping mineral deposits or something. It's wild because these clips look so fake but the data checks out. I still don't get how a rock just floats like that though. Maybe it's some weird magnetic field thing or a rare dust devil effect nobody talks about. Either way it makes me want to look closer at other viral nature clips.

Talked to my buddy Mike who edits video for a living and he looked at one of those clips frame by frame. He said the lighting on the rock doesn't shift at all even when the camera moves, which is super weird for something that's supposed to be spinning in midair. Also pointed out the shadows are too sharp for that time of day in Arizona, like someone just dropped a rock on a green screen. He's not buying the metadata either, says anyone with a hex editor can change that stuff in 5 minutes.

John from the mineral survey office in Flagstaff said those flight logs are public record and anyone can fake a timestamp match. I pulled the same metadata myself off a clip of a floating cactus rock and it lined up with a flight that never left the hangar that day. Until I see a physical sample or a second camera angle, I'm calling it a clever edit job.
