Question about the best order to watch a show with multiple timelines

I tried to watch 'Baccano!' in release order, but the story felt really messy. I spent about 4 hours looking up guides and trying to piece it together. Do you think it's better to watch shows like this in chronological order, or stick with the original edit?

What changed your mind? I used to think it was just a dumb show, but the last season actually got into some pretty heavy stuff. @dixon.james, it's that new sci-fi one on StreamFlix, and it gets way deeper than it looks lol.
