inBottom timer said 12 minutes but I was down way longer, trust your gut
Had the same thing happen on a dive off Monterey, my computer locked up at 40 feet and just sat there while I was working a stuck anchor line. I could feel the pressure building in my ears and knew from my bubbles I was way deeper than it showed, so I started my ascent on my own schedule. Took a long safety stop at 15 feet and still felt off for a couple hours after. That gut feeling is real and it's saved my butt more than once.

inHad a guy at the saw shop tell me to stop using the same chain pitch for everything
That "small saw getting beat up" line hits home. I swapped to semi chisel on my homeowner saw and noticed way less vibration and smoother cuts in dirty wood. It really does cut down on filing time more than you'd expect.

inChatted with a veteran installer at the supply house last Thursday
Wait is this guy still alive or did he ascend to carpet guru heaven? lol I feel like every time I try the old school knee kicker method I end up with wrinkles that look like a map of the Himalayas. But honestly I am 100% trying that power stretcher free life now because I swear the thing weighs more than my car and half the time I just trip over it. My last 10x10 job I spent more time fighting the power stretcher than actually laying the carpet. Old school tip I still use? Wear kneepads even if you think you look stupid because I learned the hard way that knees dont bounce back like they used to.
