inI used to think my old passwords were fine until my Netflix account got hacked last week
Ugh, that's the worst. Getting locked out of your own stuff is such a gut punch. My old email got taken over once because I used the same simple password everywhere, and it was a nightmare to untangle. Good on you for setting up a manager, that's the move. Cleaning up old passwords is a pain but so worth it for the peace of mind.

inRead an old building code book from 1978 and found out they used to allow a 1/2 inch mortar joint for foundation walls. That's huge compared to what we do now.
Hold on, tar's been failing for decades and you saw one good job?

inRant: Our renewal forecast was a mess until I tried a new report setup
But is payroll really the best example? That's like the one thing everyone agrees has to be perfect. What about less critical stuff, like internal reporting codes or old product categories that haven't been used in years? Sometimes that mapping work is just polishing junk data no one actually needs anymore.
