I finally tried reading the book AND the audiobook at the same time, and it's not even close
Our club picked a 600 page doorstop for this round. I started with the audiobook on my drive to jobs and kept losing the thread, so out of spite I grabbed the paperback from the library sale for $2. Here's the thing: reading with my eyes first, then letting the narrator do the chapters on my commute as a review, stuck in my head way better than either one alone. Half our group swears by audio only and got mad when I said they missed a whole subplot about the brother. Does your club ever split like that over formats, or do you all just pick one and fight about it?
