My Bosch dishwasher threw a code I had never seen before

Last Tuesday I was finishing up a call on a 3 year old Bosch 800 series that just stopped mid cycle. The display showed E15, which usually means water in the base pan. I pulled the lower panel and found about an inch of standing water from a cracked drain hose connection. Replaced the hose clamp and dried out the pan with a shop vac. It fired right back up, but has anyone else run into these plastic fittings getting brittle way earlier than they should?

Man that "water in base pan" code is always a fun one to find. I had a similar thing happen with my old Whirlpool and when I pulled the panel I felt like a total idiot because I stood there staring at the water thinking "well this is my life now." Those plastic fittings really do get super brittle way sooner than they should. I swear they make em out of recycled yogurt containers or something these days. At least you caught it before it turned into a full on flood and ruined your floor too. Glad the shop vac trick saved it though.

Nah @shanef34, I actually think those codes save us from way worse damage.
