Can we talk about photo editing? I had a total change of heart!
I thought editing photos was kinda fake until last weekend. Took a sunset pic that came out super dull. Messed with the brightness and colors on my phone app, and boom, it looked amazing! Now I get that editing just helps the camera show what's really there.

Editing food pics so they look edible is my new hobby lol.

That "so they look edible" part is so real. I got into fixing my bad food photos last year. The biggest thing that worked for me was just bumping up the warmth a tiny bit and adding a little shadow. It sounds weird but it makes the food look way more like it did in real life. I usually just play with the shadows and temp sliders in my phone photos app until it stops looking sad and gray. Makes my sad lunch look like I actually know how to cook.

You ever worry about going too far and making food look fake instead of good? It seems like there's a fine line between fixing the lighting and creating a totally different meal. How do you know when to stop sliding those temp and shadow controls?

That idea of editing to show "what's really there" is where I see it differently. For me, editing is a creative choice, not just fixing the camera. I'll push colors way past real life if it makes a cooler mood, even if it never looked like that in person. It's more about making art than showing the truth.
