Spent 8 hours on a quarter panel that should have taken 2

Had a 2017 Civic come in with a dent right on the body line behind the rear door. Looked simple, but the metal was super hard. Every time I got it close, it'd spring back. Tried heat, different dollies, the works. My buddy came over and we finally got it by working the area around it for like an hour first. Who knew a small crease could fight that hard? Anyone got a go-to method for these stubborn factory body lines?

Disagree completely, working the area around it first is a waste of time. You should just hit the crease directly and harder. That spring back means you aren't using enough force. I've fixed dozens like that with a big hammer and a solid dolly, no heat needed. People overthink the simple stuff.

What heat level did you try?

I went with the medium, sean_green44. It's funny how people always pick the middle option when they're unsure, I see it all the time.
