That cheap bleed kit from Amazon actually worked on my 98 F150
I was super skeptical when my buddy recommended a $15 vacuum brake bleed kit off Amazon for my 98 F150. Figured it would crack or not hold vacuum after one use. Tried it last weekend on my rear brakes in my driveway and it pulled fluid through clean with zero issues. Anyone else had good luck with those budget kits or did I just get lucky?

Cheap bleed kit" reminds me how my dollar store turkey baster works PERFECT for topping off fluids.

You ever check the vacuum on that Amazon kit before you started? I had one that looked perfect but the check valve was shot right out of the box, so it'd bleed pressure as fast as I'd pull it. @juliarodriguez you're spot on about kitchen tools though - I've got a Harbor Freight pickup tool that's just a dollar store telescoping magnet glued to a plastic handle.

And @charles_young92 I'm half convinced half the tools in my garage are just fancy versions of kitchen gadgets (don't tell my wife). Guess my $20 vacuum pump is the fancy version of your turkey baster, just with more plastic bits to lose.
