Was Skeptical About Those UV Lights in AC Systems, Now I'm a Believer

A customer in Phoenix asked me to install one of those UV lights inside their HVAC a couple months back. I thought it was a gimmick honestly, just another upsell. But their air filter was staying cleaner longer and they said the musty smell was GONE. I've seen 3 more people swear by them since. Has anyone else noticed a real difference with these things?

Probably just placebo effect if you ask me.

@aaron_mitchell I used to think the same way until I actually tried it for myself. Started taking magnesium glycinate for sleep a couple years ago because nothing else was working and it genuinely helped me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Maybe there is some placebo involved but does it really matter if the end result is the same? The double blind studies on magnesium and sleep quality are pretty solid too if you look past the pop science articles. Bottom line is if something works for someone without hurting them, who cares if it's placebo or not.

Two years? That is crazy to me because I always thought supplements were pretty much a waste of money until I heard about the science behind magnesium glycinate specifically. I agree with you Claire, even if it is partly placebo it still does the job better than being awake at 3am every night. @aaron_mitchell I get why you might think it is all placebo but the studies on this one are way better than most supplements out there. I have a buddy who is a pharmacist and he told me magnesium glycinate is one of the few supplements that actually has real backing for sleep and anxiety. He said the glycine part is what makes it different from regular magnesium because it helps calm the nervous system directly.
