DAE have a client who changes the whole plan after you've already framed it?

Actually I gotta disagree a bit here. Yeah moving a window after sheathing is a pain but this is just part of the job when you're dealing with homeowners who change their minds. We get paid to frame stuff not to judge what the client wants. Every change order just means more hours on the clock and more material to bill for. The scrap pile comment from earlier made me laugh though because that's where half my material budget goes anyway.

Just found a way to bleed brakes without a special kit

That syringe method works but did you have any trouble getting a good seal around the bleed port? I tried this once with a cheap plastic syringe and it kept leaking mineral oil everywhere, made a huge mess in my garage. A proper bleed kit has those screw-on fittings for a reason - one wrong angle and you're just pumping air back in. What did you use to keep the tubing tight on the caliper?

Had a chat with an old salvage diver in Texas that made me reconsider dry suits

Oh man, I totally get where that guy is coming from! I switched to a thick wetsuit for summer pipeline work a couple years back and honestly felt way more nimble in tight spots, even if it meant getting a little chilly on longer dives.

I finally figured out why my section views kept coming out wrong after 4 years

Watched my dad spend three hours trying to fix a printer once before realizing it wasn't even plugged in. He just kept hitting the power button and getting frustrated while I stood there sipping my coffee. Sometimes the simplest thing really is the problem, and we're all just too stubborn to admit it.

I finally stopped using tap water for pourover after a barista in Portland called me out

lol welcome to the rabbit hole of water chemistry where you realize half your coffee problems were just your tap being a jerk. I started using distilled with a pinch of baking soda after a similar barista lecture and honestly it's one of those things where you can't un-taste the difference once you know. Then you get obsessed with PPM levels and before you know it you're that person carrying a jug of custom water to friends' houses.
