Troubleshooting with a schematic vs guessing, night and day difference
Last week I spent 4 hours chasing a intermittent squawk on a King KX-155, finally dug out the actual wiring diagram from the file cabinet instead of relying on memory. Found a chafed wire behind the rack that was grounding out on the airframe, fixed in 20 minutes. Any of you guys still keep paper schematics or is everyone on a tablet now?
So what's the harm in having the schematic even if it's just to double check? It's kind of like having a map when you're lost, even if you end up finding the road by accident, it at least kept you from going in circles for another hour.
