Had to choose between a custom Zapier setup or a dedicated workflow tool for our lead scoring.
We picked the workflow tool because it handled conditional logic better, and after 3 months, our sales team says qualified leads are up 22% but I'm still worried about vendor lock-in, has anyone else faced this kind of choice?

We went with a workflow tool called Pipedrive two years ago. The lock-in fear is real, I get it. We made sure our data could export cleanly to a CSV every week. That became our backup plan. It let us get the 30% efficiency gain without feeling totally stuck. The export routine is a bit manual but it gives peace of mind.
