Client signed the contract, then ghosted for 3 weeks over a logo color
I had a commercial flooring bid locked in for a dental office in Austin, $14,500 after two site walks and a dozen emails back and forth. They sent back the signed contract with a note asking if we could change the accent stripe from teal to burgundy. I said sure, no problem, but then radio silence for three weeks, no calls returned, no replies to my follow-ups. Finally got a text saying they went with someone else because I didn't answer their burgundy question fast enough, even though I replied the same morning. I keep the signed contract framed in my truck now to remind myself that a signature means nothing until the deposit clears. Has anyone else had a client disappear right after signing over something this small?
Burgundy over teal, that's wild, I once had a guy walk on a $3k job because I wouldn't install a kitchen faucet upside down lol. Kept the contract framed too, it's like a trophy of nonsense.
