Had to choose between watching "The Room" dubbed or subbed - went with the dub and it was WILD
Last night I finally sat down to watch The Room with my buddy Mike from the roofing crew, and we argued for 20 minutes about whether to watch it in English or with Spanish subtitles since Mike's bilingual. We went with the English dub because I wanted to hear Tommy Wiseau's voice in all its glory, and honestly the delivery on lines like 'You are tearing me apart, Lisa!' made it 10 times funnier than I imagined. Has anyone else tried a dubbed version of a bad movie and found it changed the whole experience?

Dubbed The Room is the only way to watch it honestly. Did Mike end up laughing more at the lines or at how the dub sync was off on some of the delivery?

The syncing was so bad on some of the lines I thought I was having a stroke. I actually laughed more at the pauses between the dub and the lip flaps than the actual dialogue. My wife walked in and saw me crying laughing at a scene where the audio was like 3 seconds behind the mouth moving and she just shook her head at me. I'm pretty sure that says more about my life than the movie honestly.

Oh man, the dub sync on The Room is its own special kind of disaster. I remember watching the scene where Tommy is like "I did not hit her" and the Japanese voice came in a full second after his mouth stopped moving. It turned a weirdly dramatic moment into maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen in a movie.
