Just realized my old school knew about the asbestos for 2 years before telling anyone
Found a stack of inspection reports from 2021 in a filing cabinet after I quit, dated and signed. They told us about the ceiling tiles last month after I'd been breathing that dust for over 800 days. Anyone else find out their workplace was hiding something that long?

Finding a calm way to handle it worked for me, @viola_lopez30. I just told the person straight out that I'd rather know early than later, even if it's nothing. So they started giving me small updates like "still waiting, no news yet." That little bit of honesty made a huge difference in my stress levels. It's not about panicking, it's about respecting someone enough to trust them with bad news. Sometimes people think they're protecting you but it just makes things worse in the long run.
