My Reddit account got axed for commenting in a sub about alternative medicine

I posted a story about how my aunt in Phoenix beat her chronic migraines with magnesium supplements instead of prescription meds. The mods said I was giving medical advice but I was literally just sharing what worked for her old school neurologist. I'm not saying ditch doctors, but why is personal experience treated like it's dangerous? Anyone else get hit for sharing something that helped you or someone close to you?

Wait no way, that makes it even crazier actually @leehall! They straight up told you the personal story was the reason? I would have been so confused if someone told me that. Like how does mentioning a specific treatment suddenly make the whole thing about the person? I've seen that happen before where people get defensive about treatments they've tried too. It's wild how sensitive some folks get about stuff like that.
