Unpopular opinion: the pyramids weren't tombs, and I met a guy in Memphis who convinced me
I was at a diner off Highway 78 near Memphis about 3 months ago. This older guy at the counter overheard me talking about ancient Egypt and he started explaining how the pyramids had no burial stuff inside them when first opened. He showed me some old book he had in his truck with measurements and diagrams. I still don't fully buy it but it made me rethink everything I learned in school. Has anyone else run into someone who challenged a basic history fact like this?

That Memphis guy wrecked my whole view on history too.

Wait, is everyone just gonna run with this like it's the final word on history? I get that the guy had some good points, but plenty of scholars push back on his takes for a reason. You really think one guy's theory should overturn everything we thought we knew?
