Gave up on that police drama after 2 episodes, now I'm 4 seasons deep

I kept hearing everyone at the office rave about it and figured it was just hype, but when the second season cliffhanger hit I couldn't stop and now I'm up until 2am on a work night, has anyone else been burned by a show they swore they'd never start?

Happened to me with some zombie show a few years back. Told everyone it looked dumb, then binged the whole thing in a week and hated myself for it. That 2am on a work night feeling is real.
