Remember when we used to wait a whole week for the next episode?
I was thinking back to the 90s when shows like Twin Peaks aired one episode per week. You had to be home at a specific time or you missed it completely. No DVR, no streaming, just pure anticipation and hoping your VCR timer worked right. Now I can watch an entire season of a show in one weekend without even trying. My daughter thinks I'm crazy when I tell her we used to talk about last night's episode at work for days. Has anyone else noticed how the whole experience of watching TV has changed since streaming took over?

Man, you hit a nerve there. That whole waiting a week thing felt like torture sometimes but it also made the show feel bigger somehow, like a shared event. My wife and I still talk about how we'd gather around the TV with friends just for one show and then dissect every detail for days after. Your daughter probably thinks we had it rough but honestly, there was something special about that buildup and the mystery of not knowing what came next. Streaming has its perks for sure, but I miss that collective experience of everyone being on the same page at the same time.
