Nearly lost my entire orchid collection to spider mites
I was watering my plants in the sunroom last Tuesday and noticed tiny webs on my Cattleya. By the time I grabbed the insecticidal soap, three plants had yellow leaves and one dropped all its buds. Has anyone else dealt with these bugs spreading that fast between pots?

Oh man, that's rough! I used to think spider mites were just a minor annoyance, but seeing how fast they wiped out three of my own plants totally changed my mind on how serious they are.

You're right about that change of mind, @diana_kim66. I once walked into my living room and thought my plants had just gotten dusty, turns out I was basically running a spider mite farm without knowing it. Makes you feel pretty foolish when you realize an entire plant colony got wiped out while you were busy not looking.
