Hit $50 a week on groceries and people told me I was crazy
Everyone in this sub acts like $30 a week is totally doable but I've been tracking every penny for 3 months and I can't get below $50 without eating rice and beans every single meal. Maybe it's just me living in a city where eggs are $5 a dozen. Has anyone else dealt with prices going up that much?

Have you tried hunting and gathering in the city park? I hear squirrels are free range and organic. But seriously, people who say $30 a week is easy must be eating a lot of air for dinner or living somewhere eggs don't cost a small fortune. I'm in Chicago and a dozen eggs is basically the same price as a streaming subscription now.

Wait, are eggs really $5 a dozen where you're at? I'm in a midsized city and they're like $3.50 here, so that might be part of the gap.
