I used to buy pre-made sauces for everything, but now I make my own. Which side are you on?

For years I was all about those dollar store pasta sauces and taco seasoning packets. Saved time, but my meals always felt kinda flat. Then about 6 months ago I started making my own tomato sauce from canned crushed tomatoes and spices, and it costs maybe $2 a batch instead of $4. But honestly, sometimes I miss the convenience on a busy Tuesday night. Has anyone else made this switch and stuck with it, or went back to the packets?
