Switched to frozen veggies for stir fry and my grocery bill dropped $20 a week
I used to buy fresh bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas every week for stir fry (maybe $12 total). But they'd go bad by day 4 if I didn't use them fast enough. About 3 months ago I switched to the frozen bags from Aldi - a big bag of mixed stir fry veggies costs like $2.50. Now I'm spending maybe $5 a week on veggies total instead of $25, and they last forever in the freezer. The texture is a little softer but honestly it's fine for a busy weeknight dinner. Has anyone else noticed a big difference in their grocery budget from swapping fresh for frozen?
