A clear pricing error gave me a major budget break. I'm not convinced I did the wrong thing.

Spotted a tool set priced at 15 dollars last month. Normally runs over 200. Scanned it myself at checkout. The system rang it up cheap. I knew it was a mistake. Everyone says you should alert the staff. I kept quiet and paid. That money covered a full tank of gas. My budget was slammed with bills. It helped a lot. Still, it sits in my mind as a gray area.

Did I tell you about my friend who kept a pricing mistake and it COVERED her rent?

Actually had a similar thing happen with a website typo. Accidentally listed something for $10 instead of $100 and it went viral in a hobby group. Made about three months of my car payment before someone finally pointed it out. Just rode the wave and honored all the orders.

But @jana_black, that's just stealing with extra steps.
