Finally added up all my loose change and it was enough to cover my whole electric bill this month.
I've been dumping coins in a jar for two years and was shocked when the CoinStar receipt printed out $128.50, which is exactly what I owed Georgia Power.

My change jar is basically a retirement fund for stray gummy bears and paperclips... I checked mine last week and it had $3.42 and a button. You're clearly doing something right.

Count my change jar as a win if it has more money than old cough drops. Jessica707, you're ahead of me with actual currency instead of just pocket lint. I found a nickel fused to a piece of gum last time I checked.

My grandma used to keep her change in an old coffee can and it always had a weird smell. Honestly, a jar with $3.42 is pretty solid, I'd be happy with that. Cameronp47 finding a nickel stuck to gum is kind of amazing and also gross. Tbh I read once that the average person has about $90 in loose change just lying around their house. Makes me want to go check my own car cup holders.
