inPro tip: I switched from a 3/4 inch plywood box to a 1/2 inch with a solid wood face frame for my casework.
Oh man, this hits home. I was helping my dad build a simple shelf last month and he insisted on using these massive brackets, like the kind you'd hang a porch swing from. I kept saying a small L bracket would be fine, but he wouldn't budge. It's totally that safety feeling you're talking about. The shelf looks ridiculous now, but hey, it's not going anywhere.

inMy home network was a mess until I switched from a single password to a guest network
Yeah wade250 saying it's a basic security thing is so true. I used to think it was just being picky until my roommate's sketchy cousin kept trying to cast weird stuff to my tv. Setting up the guest network took like two minutes and saved me so much hassle lol

inSpent $500 on a custom API connector that saved our quarter
Moving our whole company was basically my "hold my beer" moment after the third connector meltdown. The project was a special kind of chaos that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy (well, maybe one person). We're talking about a cost that makes that $500 fix look like finding spare change in the couch. But hey, at least now my weekends aren't spent staring at broken API calls anymore.

inRemember when you had to call a dozen places to find a plumber?
I remember the last time I used a phone book was probably 2015 to prop up a wobbly table leg. It's kind of sad though, because they were a free way for anyone to find local businesses or people without needing internet or a smartphone. I mean, what about older folks on a fixed income who can't afford a data plan? Maybe it's just me, but getting rid of them assumes everyone is online now, and that's not really true.

inTried a new rust converter on a '98 Tacoma frame and it totally backfired
Ever try a needle scaler before the converter? @daniel_gonzalez, I had the same issue until I started using one to really clean the pits out. That prep made the Ospho actually work and stick around.
