Just realized I was wrong about influencer marketing after hearing a podcast with a local boutique owner
I always thought influencer marketing was just for big brands with huge budgets. But last week I was driving home from work in Nashville and caught this interview on a random marketing podcast. The owner of a small vintage clothing shop said she paid a micro influencer with like 3,000 followers $50 to post one photo. That one post brought in 12 people the next day and she made over $400 in sales. I had been ignoring that whole channel for my landscaping business. Now I'm thinking about finding a local gardening influencer with a small following. Has anyone else had luck with micro influencers in a niche market?

$50 for one post and it brought in 12 people? That's insane. I've spent more than that on lunch for my crew and got nothing back but heartburn. Maybe I need to find some local gardening guru with 3,000 followers who'll snap a pic of my mulch pile. Couldn't hurt to try. Worst case I'm out fifty bucks and a few bags of chips.

Wow, that's really smart thinking actually. I was scrolling through some business subreddit the other day and a guy who runs a pet grooming van said he paid a local dog influencer like $75 and it got him fully booked for two weeks straight. The key thing I keep hearing is that micro influencers have way higher engagement because their followers actually trust them personally instead of just scrolling past. So finding someone who posts about their own garden or lawn care and asking them to feature your landscaping work could work way better than a Facebook ad. Plus fifty bucks is nothing compared to what you'd spend on flyers or a Google ad that might not even get seen by the right people.
