Spent $0 on Facebook ads but got 200 leads from a local Facebook group
I was stuck trying to get traction for my landscaping business without a budget for ads. So I joined a few neighborhood buy-sell-trade groups and just started answering people's questions about lawn care. Within 2 weeks, I had 200 people messaging me for quotes just from being helpful. Has anyone else had luck ditching paid ads for free community posts?

Yeah, "guessing it was the groups" is a real concern. Without tracking links or UTM codes you're basically just hoping they clicked through. Still, 200 messages in two weeks is a solid sign something's working.

Oh man that's pretty wild... but were you actually tracking where those leads came from or just guessing it was the groups?

Honestly, "solid sign something's working" feels like a stretch to me, @claire_davis31. Without tracking, you're just counting leads, not measuring quality. I've seen campaigns where 200 messages turned into 5 spam signups and a bunch of angry unsubscribes. Tbh, if you don't know what's actually driving those leads, you might as well be throwing darts blindfolded and calling it a win.
