My friend got dropped from a local art show for a joke he made in 2012

The organizers found an old, dumb tweet from when he was 19 and said his 'current values' didn't align with theirs, even though he apologized. It just feels like they were digging for a reason, you know? Has anyone seen a local group go this far back before?

People change their minds over time, it's just part of growing up. Holding someone's old tweets against them forever feels pretty unfair. I've definitely said stuff online years ago that I wouldn't say now, lol. The focus should be on what they believe today, not on digging up ancient history.
