Walked past a high school today and saw a kid get recorded for saying something dumb
I was grabbing coffee downtown near Roosevelt High and watched a group of kids circle around one kid with their phones out. He must have made some offhand joke because the next thing I knew they were all yelling 'you're getting cancelled' and laughing like it was a game. Has anyone else noticed this stuff filtering into schools now?

Yeah kids have turned social media into their own personal court system now.

Wait, is anyone tracking how the actual school administration reacts to this stuff? @charles_young92 brought up the Roosevelt crew, but I'm wondering if teachers are even aware of how deep this runs. Like, I've seen kids form these little online juries where they screenshot DMs and post them for public opinion before anyone even talks to the person involved. It's basically a trial by Instagram story poll, and once the verdict drops, that reputation is cooked for the whole year. School might have rules but they can't police every group chat verdict the way they do hallway drama.
