Hated power stretchers until I rented one for a day
Always used knee kickers for everything. Thought power stretchers were overkill for residential jobs. Tried one on a 20x15 living room in Arlington last Tuesday and finished in half the time. Anybody else skip the power stretcher for years?

Buddy of mine rented one for a carpet job in his own house after doing it the hard way for ten years. He said it was like going from a horse and buggy to a car, just completely different level of stretch. Now he won't touch a knee kicker unless it's a tiny closet.

Was it just one living room for you too, @patricia262? I had the same doubt at first but it really came down to the details for me. The way the light hit the space and how the furniture was arranged told me more than any showroom ever could. Sometimes you don't need to see every single room to get the feel of a place. If the living room has the right flow and vibe, it can tell you a lot about the rest of the home.
